EPLWest Brom vs Chelsea Starting XI Actual November 17 2012

Substitutes

Turnbull, Ivanovic, Cole, Ramires, Oscar, Marin, Mata.

Side Note

This is a very exciting Starting Line Up for Chelsea. Very very attack minded line up that provides width to Chelsea’s attack. I’ve been an advocate of either Moses or Marin starting for Chelsea and today we have Moses AND Sturridge, both starting. This is a great opportunity for the youngsters to grab the chance and cement their place in the Chelsea eleven.

Chelsea have lacked width in previous occasions. With Moses and Sturridge both starting for Chelsea, width won’t be an issue at all for Chelsea against West Brom.

I think Roberto Di Matteo has an eye on the Juventus game midweek. Chelsea have to travel to Turin for the crucial Champions League encounter. That is a game Chelsea need to win or at least draw. Chelsea can’t drop points against Juventus.

Plus, many of the Chelsea stars – Mata, Ramires, traveled to different time zones this week for international friendlies. Chelsea’s congested fixture list + the jet lag = fatigued players.

If that is the case, then this is a line up that has been forced upon RDM. He needs to keep his players fit and fresh for the more grueling fixtures ahead. Juventus in the midweek Champions League fixture and Manchester City in next weekend’s English Premier League fixture are two more games Chelsea need to come off with a positive result.
